In memory of Burnie, Houston Humane Society's long-time mascot, the dog exercise and play area was completely renovated.  A quintessential modern-day dog park has been created exclusively for HHS resident animals to enrich their lives while they wait for their new families.  It even boasts its own big red fire hydrant!  Trainers and volunteers work with canines to improve their behavior and manners in hopes of increasing their chance for a successful adoption.  Below are some before and after pictures.
