Companion Camp is a wonderful opportunity for children ages 7-13 to work hands-on with the animals cared for by the Houston Humane Society and learn valuable life lessons concerning the welfare of animals.  During a typical day, campers receive humane education, a workshop from a veterinarian or animal expert, games, crafts, and hands on animal activities. This camp is a must for all kids and teens!

Cost is $275 per session (Register before June 1st for just $250 per session) and includes daily snacks and drinks, t-shirt, crafts, and all activities. Lunch will not be provided, so please bring a sack lunch. Camp hours are from 9:30-3:00.
Enrollment for HHS Companion Camp has begun. Act fast to reserve a spot, as Companion Camp does fill up quickly.

Each week of Companion Camp features awesome guest speakers, some of the 2013 speakers include:

Houston Fire Department Public Education Speaker – teaching kids about fire safety and answering questions on keeping our pets safe too!

Special guests from TWRC will visit each week, and kids will get to see various wild animals the organization helps care for on a regular basis!

RAIDER Animal Cruelty Officers will talk to the kids about what it’s like to be a cop that protects pets, how to spot animal cruelty and how to report it if they hear about it!

Talk with a veterinarian and vet technician from the HHS Animal Wellness Clinic, tour the building and opportunity to watch a real surgery!
