Some dogs at the Houston Humane Society take longer than others to find a home. Because there is no time limit for a HHS dog to find a home, many lovable larger dogs stay in the shelter for months on end, waiting for their forever families to come find them.
But help is on the way for these dogs! Lone Star Pet Lodges and Rover Oaks are training up some of the HHS's long-time residents, in the hopes that obedient behavior will make these big guys more appealing to potential adopting families. Imagine⦠a dog coming into your home already trained! These guys will already know how to sit, stay, and wait patiently for a treat. They'll heel right by your side during a walk.
Take a look at some of these great big dogs who are currently undergoing training at Lone Star Pet Lodges of Missouri City, and Rover Oaks of Houston and root along with the trainers as they turn these dogs into the perfect house pets. Then help us find great homes for these lovable, obedient dogs once their training is through!
