Intake
The Houston Humane Society will take in all animals. Animals are screened before going up for adoption based
upon age, health and temperament. There is no time limit on adoptable animals. All unadoptable animals are
humanely euthanized. There is a minimum fee of $20 for every animal that is dropped off.
Fee will be used to partially cover costs to: process paperwork, provide clean cages, examine the animal and give necessary medications.
Fee does NOT guarantee animal will be put up for adoption.
The admissions department is open during the hours listed below.
