RESCUED FROM ABUSE!

This two-week old kitten was rescued from Midtown overnight, where neighbors noticed a seven-year-old boy repeatedly throwing her tiny body against the ground.  Houston Humane Society RAIDER officer Deputy Pat Leone arrived on the scene and stopped the boy in his attempt to drown the kitten.

The kitten, dubbed Genie, is recovering from her injuries in the HHS Wellness Center.  She's begun eating and is starting to get active, and our staff predicts that she'll recover from her ordeal.

Please keep little Genie in your thoughts as she starts the healing process.  Anyone who would like to donate to her care may do so by calling us at: 713-433-6421 or online at: www.houstonhumane.org/godonate.html.

Thank you for helping us save Genie.

Patrick- RAIDER case

Patrick is another tragedy of abuse. Patrick, a 4 month old Labrador mix was brought to the HHS after enduring a thirty-minute beating by his owner. After arriving at the HHS, the Wellness Center staff went right to work. He had cracked and broken ribs, a punctured lung and a broken hipbone.
