Hurricane Ida has been devastating for the state of Louisiana, especially the city of New Orleans. Not only has it left the city in a state of emergency, but animal shelters have been stranded with no power, little food and resources to care for the ones they have in their shelter.
The Houston Humane Society has left this week to Louisiana to assist Jefferson SPCA with transporting out 96 dogs from the shelter.
Because we need to take care of what we have, we are running low on resources like food, supplies and volunteers. We are in desperate need of resources to bring hope to those animals who have escaped with nothing left.
