Designed for the animal lovers at heart. Our Kids Group & Club Intensive Program are great for groups and clubs looking to give back in a big way. Intensives take place at HHS campus. Participants will learn all about animal shelters, animal welfare, interact with our shelter animals, and learn to be advocates for positive change in the community. Get your group inspired. As they work with animals, participants strengthen their social-emotional intelligences and work on project to impact shelter animals, pets, and their community at large.
These intensives are designed for ages Elementary through High School. The below are suggested grade level activities, but can be done at any grade level. Check out the Kids Group & Club Intensive programs offered by the Houston Humane Society and contact us to give your group a memorable day of service.
- Reading to Paws: Choose from our library or bring your own book. Spend time cuddling with our cats or dogs as you read them short stories.
- Telling Animal Stories: Meet our animals and learn what makes them special. Then create an Adopt Me Poster and take pictures and videos to help them get adopted.
- Furrever Friends Promos: Learn about our adoptable pets, their stories, and create video promotions to share on social media to help the animals with the longest stays, senior animals, or survivors of animal cruelty get adopted.
