Teen Leadership Program

teenleadership

Extended beyond the classroom, as motivated teens work to implement what they learn about animal welfare in an impactful way. The Teen Leaders are individuals or groups who have participated in a Houston Humane Society education program either at their school or at the shelter, and want to do more. These teens focus on creating a positive change for animals and people and will learn the ins-and-outs of working at an animal shelter. Teen Leaders will find meaningful work helping animals in need rehabilitate, find forever homes, and tell the stories animals cannot tell themselves.

This is a yearlong program suitable for teens 14 – 18 years old only.
