If you’ve ever wondered what pure puppy joy looks like, meet Cinnamon—a 6-month-old German Shepherd with a playful spirit, a gentle soul, and a whole lot of love to give. Cinnamon had a chance to experience our Doggy Day Out Program. Cinnamon's caretakers for that day recently had the absolute privilege of spending the day with this adorable girl, and she completely melted their hearts. Here's what their experience was like!
Cinnamon is currently living at the shelter, but we were lucky enough to give her a break from kennel life and treat her to a day out. From the moment we picked her up, she was all tail wags and curiosity. You’d think a young pup would be bouncing off the walls, but Cinnamon surprised us with how well-behaved and easygoing she is—especially for her age.
We stopped for lunch at LazyDog Café, and Cinnamon sat patiently by our side on the patio, soaking up the sunshine and all the head pats from friendly strangers. She didn’t beg, didn’t bark—just calmly observed the world with those big, expressive eyes.
But don’t let her calm demeanor fool you—once we got to a safe spot to play, Cinnamon’s puppy energy came out in full force! She loves to run and be chased, and nothing makes her happier than pouncing on a soft stuffie toy. She’s the perfect balance of fun and affection.
After some zoomies and snuggles, we ended our adventure with a well-earned nap on the couch. Cinnamon curled up next to us like she’d been part of the family forever.
And that’s exactly what she needs now—a family to call her own. 💛
