Desoto’s Happy Tail

Desoto made quite the impact on our staff and volunteers during his year-long stay with us. We're happy to report that he's THRIVING in his new home! 😭❤️

"DeSoto, now renamed Domino, eased right in and gets along really well with our current dog. We renamed him Domino because we discovered he has a cutie mark on his back end that looks like a slice of pizza. We have several nicknames for him... Pupperoni, Pawpa Johns, Pizza Butt, LOL. We took him to the dog park and he had a blast playing with other dogs and running around. His favorite things in the world are squeaky tennis balls and stuffies. If it squeaks, it goes in his mouth and he'll happily entertain himself for a long time. He's my velcro dog and follows me everywhere. He even found his spot on the end of our bed at night, happily snuggled under his own blanket. He's the sweetest and snuggliest dog ever! We can't wait to have him meet our daughter who's away at college right now, but she gets regular Facetime with him already and can't wait to meet him in person.

 

We are thankful to the Houston Humane Society for keeping such great care of those animals until they can find their fur-ever home!"
