Hunter has been part of our journey since June 2025, and along the way he has shown everyone who meets him just how resilient and loving a dog can be. After being hit by a car before arriving at the shelter, Hunter needed medical care and ultimately lost one of his eyes. Today, that little wink has become part of what makes him unforgettable. It’s a reminder of how far he’s come and how much love he still has to give.

While he waits for his forever family, Hunter has been thriving in a caring foster home where his sweet personality really shines. He enjoys spending time with people of all ages, does great with older children, and happily makes friends with other dogs. He’s also crate trained and settles in nicely at home, making him an easy companion to welcome into daily life.

You may have even seen his handsome face on TV. Hunter recently made his debut as a guest on our weekly Pet Spotlight with Lisa Hernandez on KPRC Channel 2 News, where he showed the Houston community exactly why he deserves a family of his own.

Now all that’s missing is the person or family ready to welcome him home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a story of resilience, Hunter is ready to meet you. Your home could be the happy ending he’s been waiting for. 🐾
