Pets for Life Gave Canela a Second Chance

Laritza, one of our Pets for Life clients, was heartbroken when her cat, Canela, experienced complications with her pregnancy. She was given an impossible choice by another clinic: pay thousands for treatment or opt for euthanasia. 

 

Feeling lost, Laritza reached out to our Pets for Life program for help. We reassured her that she wasn’t alone, and together with our team, we found a solution and Canela received the care she needed. 

 

One of our doctors performed a life-saving surgery, giving Canela a second chance. While the kittens couldn’t be saved, Canela’s life was spared, all thanks to the quick actions of our team.  

 

In just 2.5 hours, our program demonstrated the true spirit of Pets for Life: providing compassionate care to underserved families and their pets. None of this would have been possible without the financial support of our community, dedication of our veterinary team, and everyone who worked to give Laritza and Canela a happy ending. Your efforts truly make a difference in lives. 💕
