Why Volunteer Rosa Fell in Love with Trident

Trident is a petite Australian cattle dog who came to the Houston Humane Society from a partner organization. At about a year old and only 35 pounds, she looks just like Bingo, the mom from Bluey.
Volunteer Rosa took Trident on a Doggy Day Out and absolutely fell in love with this sweet girl.
“Trident is the sweetest little Australian Cattle Dog who needs her person. She deserves a safe, warm, loving home. She spent a long weekend with me and she was so special. She is incredibly cuddly, loving, and affectionate, and she absolutely loves being close to her person. Wherever you are, she wants to be right there with you: relaxing beside you on the couch, following you around the house, or settling in for some cuddles.
What really stood out to me is how much Trident simply wants to be with you. You can tell how badly she wants a family. She has that wonderful quality where she doesn’t need anything fancy. She just wants to feel included, loved, and part of a family.
One of my favorite things about having Trident with me was watching her become best friends with my French Bulldog. They bonded so quickly because of how sweet she is. Trident was playful, gentle, and happy to have a doggy friend around, which makes me think she could really thrive in a home with another friendly dog.
If I wasn’t moving back to Canada, I would have taken her myself. Trident has so much love to give and deserves a family who will give that love right back to her.”
