Houston Humane Society helps provide food to pet owners in need through the Pet Pantry and Pets for Life programs, services that are more important than ever. Speaking to Fox 26’s Randy Wallace:
"Pet food is much more expensive these days," said Sue Curtis, pet resources manager at the Houston Humane Society. "Cost of the pet food has gone up since 2019, I believe, 80%."
Unfortunately, the much-needed pet food donations have been impacted too. The number of distributions dropped from 65 last year to just 35 this year due to fewer donations and limited supply, with cat food being the most affected.
The Houston Humane Society never wants to turn away people who need pet food, and we can’t do that without your help. Join the mission to keep pets and families together.
