Meet Yogi: A Little Hero Looking for a Lot of Love
In the wake of devastating floods that swept through Central Texas, countless lives have been upended, including those of our four-legged friends. One of those survivors is Yogi, an energetic and incredibly sweet Dachshund mix who’s under a year old and already a little hero in his own right.
Yogi was one of 26 dogs and puppies rescued from overwhelmed shelters in the Hill Country and brought to safety by the Houston Humane Society. Despite his tough start, Yogi’s spirit is nothing short of inspiring. He’s playful, bouncy, and endlessly affectionate, always ready to brighten your day with a wagging tail and a heart full of love.
Currently under our care, Yogi is thriving, but he and many others like him, still need your help.
The Need is Growing
This week, we welcomed an additional 17 dogs from another Central Texas area hit hard by the recent floods. Our shelter is doing everything possible to keep up, but with the continued influx of animals, we’re reaching out to the community for support.
