This August, the Houston Humane Society is proud to join NBCUniversal Local's 12th annual Clear The Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign dedicated to helping homeless animals find loving families. Since 2015, more than 1 million shelter pets have found their forever homes through this incredible movement—and with your help, we can save even more lives this year.

Our goal throughout the month is simple: clear our shelters so we can welcome and care for even more animals in need. Every time a dog or cat is adopted, it creates space for another homeless pet to receive shelter, medical care, and a second chance at life.
